2. Technological Research Organization
 Zhen-Ao Group owns technological research organization and team with solid basis in pyramid structure which are divided into following three levels:
(1) Develop medicine and health foods together with Chairman of international immunity league Dr. Rolf Zinkernagel, Nobel Prize laureate. By now, 11 gainers of the Nobel prize gave visit to Zhen-Ao, among whom, some hold cooperation intent of technological research project yet;
(2) Built platform of technological research, exchange and cooperation with several international and domestic technological research institutes and more than 30 academicians;
(3) Zhen-Ao Group established technological research institute with 134 persons who are professionally engaged in research of pharmacology, medicine, bio-engineering, food engineering etc., to account for 26% of total staffs in the headquarters, in which 30 persons with senior title, 70 persons with middle title, besides, more than 3000 experts are working hard for collecting first marketing data to demonstrate the effect in product development and quality improvement. Its laboratory is equipped with advanced instruments for technological research and perfect experiment equipment home and abroad where is able to innovate by self apply and develop, some of key projects listed establishment of independent projects at national ministry, commission level or provincial, local level.
(4) A technological model center is established newly with the purpose to improve brand of high-tech in the group. Besides, the group applied for "Liaoning Province Bio-engineering Technology Center" actively. Through spot examination of experts sent by provincial Technology Department, demonstration and answer on feasibility as well as integrated check and evaluation, it becomes eminent among scores of candidates to establish Liaoning Province Bio-engineering & Natural Product Postdoctor Work Station, which is a symbol that Zhen-Ao substantively goes ahead towards a higher target in project level, developing direction and ability of the development center. |

3. Main Projects of Technological Research
 With a chance to gather top scientists in the field of life science home and abroad scientists for research of international development and cooperation, occupy commanding elevation of application and development firstly.
(1) Leading immunity research project in the world. On June 18, 2004, ceremony of signing cooperation contract between Zhen-Ao Group and Nobel prize laureate, Chairman of international immunity league Dr. Rolf Zinkernagel for deep development of Zhen-Ao nucleic acid held in Beijing, they deeply research materials of nucleic acid in leading immunity. In April of 2005, Dr. Rolf Zinkernagel came to China with the last developed result to give a staged summarization to Zhen-Ao nucleic acid project and prove that "Zhen-Ao nucleic acid is reliable in efficacy of immunity of body, so it has great future".
(2) New medicine project of wound healing without mark. Cooperated with U.S.A. Texas medical research center, carry out project research of nucleic acid absorbent through skin which will promote wound healing without any mark and ache but with function of anti-infection. With advanced facilities and technical conditions in U.S.A. Texas medical research center, both parties made scientific and rational experiment plan, animal test and clinic research of body together to develop new medicine for external use. The initial test has been finished, which is thought highly by famous MNC who has the intent to cooperate the project and develop the product.
(3) Nutrition Supplement Project. Develop functional foods of nucleic acid cooperated with Dr. Masaji Matsunag of Japan Heredity Institute.
(4) Planting Project of Yacon Introduced from Japan. Deeply research cooperated with Japan Hokkaido Uei Institute, fructose engineering team of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Yacon contains rich materials of polycide and fructooligosaccharide with efficacy of reducing blood pressure and sugar. Now it is not planted and developed in large scale in our country, so we are trying for a series of development in planting and processing of Yacon cooperating with Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and we have built mature and advanced technology of preparation and applied for 4 patents. Based on initial test, it is remarkable in efficacy and demands on the market will be considerable.
Taking developed achievement with intellectual property right as leading, bring whole medical and healthy system industrializing.
(1) "Cardiomyopeptide for Injection" Project, the new medicine of national category I, which has been listed as "Research on innovative medical category" of 2002' national "Tenth Five-year" important technological special items (863 Plan), "Innovative medicine and modernization of Chinese traditional medicine" of 2003' Liaoning Province important technological special items and special items of 2004' Dalian industrial enterprises technological innovation and new product development. Now, it has been finished research before clinic and clinic research (I, II and III stage), obtained "New Medicine Certificate" and "Approved Document of Medical Registration" from State Food & Drug Administration (SFDA) and started to produce in batch scale.
(2) Research Project on International Cerebral Science. Research and develop various drugs of nutrition, health care and treatment for development of cerebral mechanism, health care and prevention and cure of disease of child, youth, middle and old ages.
(3) Utilization and Development of Ocean Bio-resource--- Optimize breeding, process of new fungi represented with Algae oligosaccharide and micromolecule polypeptide, to develop new medicine and functional health product. Now it has acquired staged achievement of technological research.
(4) 5' nucleotide project, which has been listed as second support plan of developing vigorously Northeast old industrial base reforming by National Development and Reform Commission. With total investment of 123 million Yuan and 6000 m2 floor area, it can be produced 60t yearly. In the end of 2003, it was checked and accepted by State Technology Ministry Torch Center and listed as adjustment and reforming project of Northeast old industrial base in 2004. What this project was developed successfully has filled up the blank in China and replaced the import, now it entered into optimizing stage of process. |

4. Training of Technological Research Persons and Investment of Technological Research Funds
 Zhen-Ao Group always pays attention to training, selecting and using of high-tech talents. The persons who are engaged in technological research posts have the title over college level, now it owns nearly 100 persons with senior or middle title covering several fields of life science. Besides we also entrust Fudan University for training of persons in our research institute. At the same time, we also carry out theme research depended upon talents on postdoctor station. The investment for technological research is increasing year by year, now the investment for it has been reached about 4% of sales income (less than 2% generally in China.).
At present, Zhen-Ao Group owns 24 patent technologies with private intellectual property rights and applied for PCT patent technology with 76 items. In March of 1998, national science commission approved extracted technology of Zhen-Ao nucleic acid as the item of "National-level Torch Plan", cooperated with the Nobel prize scientists, Zhen-Ao Group has kept the leading position in the industry of the world with technological research power and technological level. "Cardiomyopeptide for Injection" Project, the new medicine of national category I has been listed as "Research on innovative medical category" of 2002' national "Tenth Five-year" important technological special items (863 Plan); 5' nucleotide project has been listed in plan task of national developing vigorously trade by technology project. In the end of 2003, it was checked and accepted by State Technology Ministry Torch Center and listed as adjustment and reforming project of Northeast old industrial base in 2004 to be supported by special fund of national debt. It has been reached advanced level in the world with the research and development for a series of nucleic acid products, also is the one of strong domestic enterprises with self-innovative development and application to transfer technology. |
